[Windows] Software-Tipp: Image resizer
How often did you just want to shrink some images for sending them via e-mail quickly?
I do often need this. So I often launched my MS Paint, GIMP or other graphic tools which are definitely over sized for such a simple task. Once I found the Image Resizer. The image Resizer resizes one or many image files with just a right-click. Image resizer is another free explorer context extension provided by Microsoft. It is provided as ImageResizerPowertoy.
You can download the tool directly from here on Microsoft.com.
After installing the extension you can right-click one or several images in your explorer. There will be a line “Resize Pictues” in your context menu. After clicking this menu you get some options to set your resizing parameters. By default the resized file is created with same name and appended “(Small)”. You can toggle the advanced options to configure the tool to make it resizing your images in-place. Simply set your options and press OK. The image is being resized. That’s it.
